Love the Children (LTC) Project – October, 2007
For A Martyr’s Family
This project involves the family of Necati Aydin. Necati, 36, a dynamic Christian was a convert from Islam. He and two Christian co-workers were brutally martyred in Turkey on April 18, 2007. Necati is in heaven, but still dealing with the circumstances on earth are his widow, Semse, and their two children, Elisha, 7, and Esther, 6.
One of our CIC intercessors was very good friends with Necati and Semse, in fact, Necati was in their wedding. We have the opportunity to send something to Semse and the children and have it hand-carried into the country. This is especially good due to the fact that Semse is under a great deal of scrutiny from many areas.
To better understand what they are dealing with, please read, “Widow of Slain Turkish Worker: ‘A Cross for Me Every Day’”
If you would like to send an encouraging message to Semse, Elisha, or Esther, you may send e-mail text by clicking here. Please mention 'Martyr's Family' in the subject line. We will compile all messages for each one.
Last date to receive e-mail messages or funding to be taken to them before Christmas, is November 15th, 2007. If funds are received after that, they will be forwarded to her at a later date.
Please continue in prayer for these precious ones who have given much to our Lord. Also, for Susanne Geske, widow of Tilmann Geske and their three children; as well as for the fiancé of Ugur Yuksel, who was also martyred.
In Malatya, the city where the murders took place, the trial is beginning for the five young Muslims accused of killing the Christian missionaries. According to sources, 15 of the 22 Christian families in Malatya have left and will not return. There are approximately 120,000 christians in Turkey, amont them about 4,000 evangelicals. (Assist News)
