Al-Shabab Attacks Somali Hotel

Date:  March 24, 2019

Somalia (International Christian Concern)- On March 1 the Somali-based terrorist group al-Shabab claimed responsibility for a double bombing and attack of a hotel in Mogadishu, resulting in the death of at least 29 people. There was a second attack via car bomb that went off near the presidential palace, claiming the lives of seven people. The terrorist group also attacked a hotel in Nairobi, Kenya in January that took the lives of 26 people.

These attacks serve as a grim reminder to pray for those Christians who suffer under governments and militant groups that push for the strict ruling under Sharia law. Al-Shabab controls territories throughout the Horn of Africa.

HOW TO PRAY: Pray for all those who lost loved ones in this string of attacks. Pray for physical and emotional healing for those who were injured. Pray for salvation for those responsible for these attacks.
