Save the Persecuted Christians

Stop the 2022 Genocide Games

GenocideGames.org

As you know, the United States has formally designated the CCP genocide of Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities in Xinjiang (a.k.a. the captive nation of East Turkistan). This isn't China's only crime against humanity and the CCP is well-known for its historic and ongoing persecution of Christians, Tibetans, the Falun Gong, the people of Hong Kong and so many others.

I'm writing to let you know about an important initiative undertaken with support from Save the Persecuted Christians' by our coalition partners to counter the Chinese Communist Party's malign influence globally.

The Committee on the Present Danger: China and Women’s Rights Without Frontiers are leading a growing coalition to move or boycott the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Many of you have joined us, but some are hearing about this for the first time.

This Tuesday, an important joint Congressional hearing will be hosted to delve into this critical concern and we wanted you to know. We also wanted to give you more ways to get involved and have impact.

Please see the information below and thank you for your support and prayers.

May God bless you and the United States of America!

Peace be with you,

Dede Laugesen

WATCH THE HEARING:
On Tuesday, May 18 at 1:00 p.m. EDT, the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission and the Congressional-Executive Commission on China will hold a joint virtual hearing to examine the implications of holding the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in the People’s Republic of China, regardless of their serious violations of human rights. Details of the hearing can be viewed HERE.  The hearing itself will be streamed live HERE.

Reggie Littlejohn, Founder and President of Women’s Rights Without Frontiers and chair of the Olympics Task force of the Committee on the Present Danger:  China, will testify about China’s many egregious human rights violations and crimes against humanity.  She will discuss the reasons that the Chinese Communist Party’s treatment of Uyghur Muslims and other ethnic minorities in Xinjiang/East Turkistan constitutes genocide.  She will explore the implications of this determination under the Genocide Convention of 1948, especially concerning a possible relocation or boycott of the Games.

Women’s Rights Without Frontiers and the Committee on the Present Danger:  China are spearheading an initiative to stop the “Genocide Games.”  The advocacy campaign website and Open Letter to the U.S. Olympic Committee can be viewed HERE.  This letter was signed by more than one hundred leaders associated with national security, human rights and faith organizations.  As co-author and a primary signatory of this Letter, Littlejohn will ask that the Letter be entered into the Congressional Record.

As a Member of the Committee on the Present Danger: China, Reggie Littlejohn’s testimony will make clear the need for the United States and international bodies to designate the Communist Party of China a transnational criminal organization (TCO).
