Commemmorating Pastor Wang Yi's Birthday
June 1st was jailed Early Rain Covenant Church Pastor Wang Yi's 49th birthday and the fourth birthday he has spent behind bars for his faith. A group of Chinese Christians called 'Wang Yi Resource Library' held an online seminar commemorating his birthday with nearly 1,000 Christians present.

Professor Immanuel Ke commented in the virtual meeting how "Wang Yi voluntarily carries out the house churches’ tradition developed by Wang Mingdao—the tradition of not giving up to rulers, the liberal Christianity, or all anti-Christ thoughts, conducts and systems. Wang Yi has inherited the tradition which makes uncompromising ministers tortured enormously and persecuted heavily. However, it is the torture and persecution that nurtures and builds up Chinese house churches."

Please remember you can write a letter of encouragement directly to Pastor Wang's jail cell by following this link to see his address. Every letter to a prisoner of conscience is a great encouragement and shows guards the Body of Christ remembers those persecuted.

Please keep Pastor Wang and his entire family in your prayers, along with everyone invovled with Early Rain Covenant Church

230+ Groups Demand Bachelet's Resignation
Following UN High Commissioner For Human Rights Michele Bachelet's disasterous trip to China, more than 230 democracy and human rights advocacy groups signed a statement calling for her immediate resignation.

The statement notes "During her six-day visit to China, the first by a High Commissioner since 2005, Michelle Bachelet squandered a rare opportunity to promote accountability by failing to address the litany of systematic human rights violations committed by the Chinese authorities."

Concerning the trip, ChinaAid President Bob Fu told the Washington Stand “Ironically from this trip, the world’s supposedly highest human rights officer had become part of the communist propaganda narrative system of one of the world’s worst human rights violators.”

Bob also goes into more detail about the failed trip in one of the newest Bob Fu report videos published this week on YouTube.

Please keep all those suffering and facing persecution in China for your faith in your prayers. Please also keep global officials like Commissioner Bachelet in your prayers who have voice and influence within the global human rights sphere

CCP Crackdowns Against Leaders Continue
ChinaAid reported on an update with the case concering Elder Zhang Chunlei after a meeting with his lawyer. According to Elder Zhang's wife, he is in good health and asked fellow Christians to pray but not worry about him.

Elder Zhang's lawyer has not recieved any indictment papers even though his case was transfered to the Guiyang City Intermediate People's Court more than four months ago.

The wife of jailed pastor Geng Zejun posted on social media a trial would be held for him at the end of June. Pastor Geng of Panshi house church in Huinong District was taken into custody after a raid in December 2021. Hao Ying asks fellow Christians to pray for her husband and two other believers, Luo Shiping and Wang Sufang.

Please keep Elder Zhang Pastor Geng, Luo, and Wang in your prayers, along with their families and church community. Please also keep the officials and law enforcement who are involved with both cases in your prayers.

Shanghai Lockdowns Lead To Protests
ChinaAid's media team reported on protests in Shanghai after officials again locked down a neighborhood. Read the article to see several photos of protestors confronting officials. One resident explained "It would be hopeless if nobody spoke up. A prison can hold ten thousand people, but it can't hold a million.”

Please keep everyone across China in your prayers suffering from arbitrary and strict lockdowns in your prayers, along with CCP health officials and those in charge of COVID policies.
