Nigeria (ICC)

On Thursday, Sept. 1, suspected radical Fulani herdsmen killed six Christians in central Nigeria. The attack took place in the predominately Christian village of Umella, in southeastern Benue state.

The chair of the local government council, Mike Ubah, confirmed that six Christians were killed in the attack. In a message to media outlet Morning Star News, Mr. Ubah said, “Some of the victims were shot, while others were attacked with machetes.”

HOW TO PRAY: Pray for continued protection for Christians in Nigeria and a future resolution to the 20-year conflict between mostly radical Fulani militias and Christian farmers.
