News & Updates

Chinese Christians Serve Their Persecutors
Chinese officials placed Early Rain Covenant Church (ERCC) preacher Dai Zhichao under house surveillance in September 2022. Guards are assigned to watch Preacher Dai and his family at all hours of the day but do not have any cold-weather clothing for the winter.

Early Rain members, knowing these guards are ill-equipped by the CCP, went to Dai's apartment to give these guards hot water, quilts, and clothes. It's common for Chinese Christians to pray for their persecutors and even help meet their basic needs.

Here's how the CCP responded to ERCC's acts of kindness towards these guards.

Pray for Preacher Dai, his family, all ERCC members, and their persecutors.

Open Letter From Wife Of Jailed Pastor
The wife of jailed Xi'An Church of Abundance Pastor Lian Xuling published an open letter on Chinese social media. Writing after five months of no updates about her husband, Zhang Jun wrote how she did not understand why her husband and father-in-law were charged with fraud and endangering national security. The CCP often weaponizes fake 'fraud' charges to justify harsher sentences.

Pray for all Xi'an Church of Abundance members and the families of Pastors Lian Xuliang and Lian Changnian.

Court Secretly Tries Two Teachers
ChinaAid's media team learned that teachers Wang Minghai and Wan Hongxia were secretly tried on January 12th and sent back home to their families under residential surveillance. Both were charged with "illegal business operations" in the wake of a May 2021 police raid on Xuande School of Mount Carmel Church.

Here's how Wang and Wan held dear to their faith in Jesus while at the detention center.

Pray for Wang and Wan, their families and legal teams, and for their persecutors.

Rights Activist Gets Indictment Letter
The contents of well-known human rights activist Ji Xiaolong's indictment letter were revealed on January 14th. The document revealed Ji was arrested during China's COVID lockdown time for criticizing national leadership.

The case is now in the 'supplementary investigative' stage and his lawyers will not be able to review the case until February 5th. Here's the timeline Chinese officials now have to either proceed or decline to prosecute Ji.

Pray for Ji, his family, legal team, and his persecutors.
