Will fining a Christian preacher stop them from sharing the Gospel?

For Christian sister Gu Ti, absolutely not! Even though Communist officials just fined her last week for posting a sermon in a chat group.

Sister Gu is a believer willing to "do justice, love mercy, and walk with humility" while preaching! In fact, here's a photo of her (on the right) sharing the Gospel!

On July 18th, police from the Guansheng Police Station in Sichuan fined Sister Gu 200 yuan (about $27.5) for sharing one of Early Rain Covenant Church Pastor Wang Yi's sermons on WeChat.

Officials claimed Gu was a "law perpetrator" for sharing the message from Pastor Wang, who was arrested in 2018 and remains jailed.

An internet prayer group released an amazing intercessory prayer for Sister Gu. "May the Lord comfort Sister Gu’s heart, just as Paul’s encouragement to Timothy, which is also an encouragement to us. You must remember that Jesus Christ is a descendant of David, who was resurrected from the dead, which is in line with the gospel I preach. I suffer for this gospel, even to the point of being bound like a prisoner; however, the word of God cannot be bound [Timothy 2:8-9]. Amen!"

Let's join together and pray for Sister Gu as she shares Christ and faces persecution, and for her persecutors.
