China (International Christian Concern) — Zhu Yufu, 71, arrived in the U.S. after 16 years in a Chinese prison for urgent cancer treatment and to reunite with his family. Yufu, from Zhejiang Province, China, arrived in the U.S. on July 28. He is a veteran political activist, dissident, and Christian leader.
He released a statement via ChinaAid, one of the main groups who have fought for his release and better treatment:
“I thought I would never have the chance to be reunited with my family in this life, but thanks to the Lord’s grace and the efforts of all of you, I had the chance to be reunited with my family, putting an end to the earthly tragedy of being separated from my beloved family and being separated from the rest of the world for several decades, and allowing me to witness the Lord’s miracle of making the almost impossible possible. I pray constantly, believing that the Lord’s grace is sufficient and that it will not be Satan or the forces of evil that will dominate everything on earth. Thank you all again!” – Zhu Yufu
