The International Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians is Sunday,
November 2.

Christians around the world are facing persecution.
Here are several to pray for:

Nigeria: Christians are massacred and churches destroyed by Islamist militants in a brutal campaign to eliminate so-called infidels, take land, and impose Sharia law. Nigerian officials cannot deny the brutal attacks nor that radicalized Muslims are the perpetrators, yet deny that Christians are targeted. Pray for survivors to overcome in faith and build new lives, and for authorities to defend the innocent and punish evil.

China: Communist authorities arrested an influential pastor and dozens of Zion Church leaders in the largest crackdown on churches in 40 years. In 2018, officials shut down Zion Church after the pastor disobeyed government orders to install cameras in the sanctuary. During the pandemic, the church grew to about 10,000 worshipers online and 100 house churches in 40 cities. Pastors of other house churches were also recently imprisoned. Pray for strength to persevere, for officials to repent, and for persecution to lead to revival.

Pakistan: Our partner reports that Islamic militants are inciting riots and protests, which is spreading fear among Christians. Pray for Christians to have wisdom and bold faith, and for government officials to protect them.

Bangladesh: The rise of Islamic extremism is threatening Christians. Our partner reports that converts to Christ are being violently pressured to revert to Islam. Pray for God's peace to guard and sustain His people.

Myanmar: The Buddhist-Burman military junta continues its war against ethnic and religious minorities. Since 2021, over 300 churches have been destroyed, pastors have been killed and jailed, and 4 million people displaced. Pray for Christians to live their faith in the face of persecution.
