"We want to bring truth and hope to our nation ... Please pray that God shows us how to love our community with the hope of Jesus." - Iranian believer Ziba* |

Several Iranian Christians recently shared their urgent prayer requests with Open Doors in the wake of the country’s nationwide protests— the deadliest repression Iran has witnessed since the Islamic Revolution of 1979. New reports indicate that more than 36,500 people were killed in less than a month. Our local partners and contacts tell us that Iranian civilians are traumatized, still living in fear. We recently spoke with Iranian Christians (living inside and outside the country) who were deeply encouraged to know the worldwide Church is praying with them. |

Open Doors’ recently released World Watch List ranks Iran as the 10th most dangerous country for Christians. Our contacts tell us this latest violence and surveillance have made it increasingly difficult for vulnerable Iranians, including religious minorities. I’m thankful (and somewhat awed) that through prayer, we can come together with our Iranian brothers and sisters and stand with them. As Open Doors Founder Brother Andrew reminds us: “Our prayers can go where we cannot ... there are no borders, no prison walls, no doors that are closed to us when we pray.” I hope you’ll take a few minutes to learn what’s happening in Iran and read the words of passionate Christians who risk so much to follow Jesus Thank you for praying with our Iranian family. In Christ, |
