Church Member's Violent Beating Exposes CCP's Relentless Persecution

Just months after his release on March 25, 2025, following two imprisonments totaling eight years, Chen Yunfei, a devoted member of Early Rain Covenant Church, endured a brutal assault on January 8, 2026, in Chengdu. The attacker, delivering a chilling political warning against posting on X, inflicted severe facial injuries including an orbital fracture and optic nerve damage. Despite not retaliating, Chen now battles blurred vision and pain.

His lawyer, Lu Siwei, demands a thorough police investigation into the premeditated crime and its orchestrators, amid ongoing surveillance and harassment. This incident underscores the Chinese Communist Party's escalating tactics to silence religious voices, yet Chen persists in seeking justice through legal channels, embodying unyielding resilience. Stand with Chen Yunfei—share this story, pray for his recovery, and advocate for religious freedom in China today! Read Now

Pray with us: Father, we pray for Chen Yunfei’s full recovery and wisdom for lawyer Lu Siwei as he navigates this case.

Finding Glory in Humble Service: A Wife’s Loving Letter to Her Jailed Husband

In a beautiful testimony of love and Christian hope, Zhang Xinyue penned a letter on February 19 to her husband, Elder Li Yingqiang of Early Rain Covenant Church in Chengdu, Sichuan. After both faced detention in the January 6 crackdown, she was released on bail in February, while Li remains held in Deyang Detention Center on charges of “inciting subversion of state power.” Reflecting on her experience, Zhang explains how embracing her identity as “Heavenly Father’s princess” granted her joy, stability, and freedom from anxiety and antidepressants. She encourages him to view himself as a prince of the Lord, finding glory even while cleaning toilets. Their story illuminates the resilient faith sustaining China’s believers.

“I was able to remain stable and full of joy even without taking antidepressant medication. Perhaps it was because, in that special environment, God guarded my heart and kept me constantly alert—keenly aware of my identity as a Christian, as a child of our Heavenly Father.”

Join us in praying for Zhang Xinyue, Elder Li Yingqiang, and their family. Share this story of hope and stand together for religious freedom.

Tokyo Exposes Xi's War on Faith: China's Assault on Crosses, Bibles, and Believers Revealed

In Tokyo, Dr. Bob Fu of ChinaAid headlined the 2nd International Forum on China's unreported human rights abuses, spotlighting the CCP's escalating war on religious freedom under Xi Jinping. Highlighting October 2025's nationwide raid on Beijing Zion Church, where nearly 30 pastors and members—including founder Ezra Jin—were detained across seven cities, Fu detailed emblematic cases: 70-year-old Sister Wang Honglan, imprisoned for Bible distribution; Pastor John Cao, barred from family after seven years in jail; Early Rain's Pastor Wang Yi, serving nine years for subversion; and disappeared lawyer Gao Zhisheng.

Amid torture and family separations, these stories underscore resilient faith, urging international alliances for democracy and belief. Stand with China's persecuted believers: Pray, advocate, write letters to prisoners, and share to amplify their voices today! Read More

Pray with us: Father, we thank you for the growing concern in Tokyo over China’s human rights abuses. We pray Dr. Bob Fu’s testimony would catalyze great action and advocacy.

Global Prayer Rises as Early Rain and Yayang Churches Face Brutal Suppression (China Religious Freedom Day)

In Chicago on February 9, 2026, nearly 5,000 joined a livestreamed prayer meeting for China's persecuted church, advancing calls for January 9 as "China Religious Freedom Day" and monthly fasting on the 9th. Pastor Long Xiang’en of Beijing Zion Church shared that great persecution often precedes revival, urging believers to share suffering with Christ and one another for glory (Romans 8:17).

Anna Liu, wife of detained Zion pastor Ezra Jin Mingri, traced intensified oppression to the 2018 transfer of religious oversight to the CCP's United Front. Reports detailed Early Rain Covenant Church's January 6 raids in Chengdu, with Elder Li Yingqiang arrested on subversion charges, and Yayang Church's December 2025 assault in Wenzhou—over 1,000 officers, cross removals, and counterterrorism tactics against those refusing state compliance.

Amid suffering, faith remains centered on Christ's passion, inspiring global solidarity. Join the persecuted: Designate the 9th for fasting and prayer, share these stories, and support ChinaAid to amplify silenced voices and defend religious freedom now. Read More

Pray with us: Lord, we pray awareness of China Religious Freedom Day would continue to spread and local churches across the United States, Europe, Latin America, and beyond would adopt the 9th of every month as a day of fasting and prayer for the persecuted in China.

Defend Religious Freedom Amid Escalating Persecution in China!

This week’s ChinaAid stories reveal harsh persecution under the CCP—brutal assaults like Chen Yunfei’s severe injuries after prison, family separations in Early Rain Covenant Church raids, and policies isolating believers by forcing churches underground and silencing faith. Yet hope endures: Persecuted Christians display remarkable resilience, clinging to Christ amid suffering. As Elder Li reminds us, crackdowns can become God’s stage for glory. Global prayer surges, international forums like Tokyo’s amplify truths, and believers persist in worship despite chains.

Episode 3: How China’s Policies Destroy Churches & Isolate Believers

China's 2025 policies are tearing churches apart:

  • House churches forced underground, disbanded, or swallowed by state-controlled "Three-Self" bodies.
  • Underground Catholic leaders sidelined, dioceses merged, Vatican ignored.
  • Sermons replaced by Party orders, kids barred from church, jobs lost for simply gathering.
  • Online faith silenced, global support blocked—believers isolated.

This is not control. It is destruction of the Church's very soul. How long can faith survive when community, leaders, and freedom are systematically stripped away? ChinaAid's new episode exposes the human cost.

“In a sense, a crackdown is like a large-scale stage drama written and directed by God Himself. Suddenly, you find yourself standing on a vast stage, the spotlight shining directly on you. Everything you do, every word you say, is seen by angels and by the world.”

Brother Yingqiang, November 30, 2025 Deyang, Sichuan
