There are just three days to go until we deliver our Eyes on Sudan petition to the Premier League.
Over 2,375 people have joined the campaign so far, and your prayers are a powerful act of solidarity too.
Because of people like you, Sudan is not forgotten – and the call for justice, peace and hope is growing louder. Every voice helps strengthen that call.
As we prepare to hand in the petition on Tuesday, please pray that it draws much-needed attention to the crisis in Sudan; that those with influence will be compelled to act, and that those funding the war will be held to account.
This is especially urgent as it’s now three years since war broke out between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).
As you'll know, these three years have plunged Sudan into one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises. The human cost has been devastating, with over 30 million people in urgent need of assistance, over 13 million displaced, and at least 150,000 killed.
And a recent UN report found that atrocities committed by the RSF in Darfur last October bore the ‘hallmarks of genocide’. As fighting continues, more communities are at risk.
We have not forgotten them, and we know you haven’t either. Thank you for your solidarity and prayers.
Please join us in praying:
- For the people of Sudan, including those who are displaced, traumatised, grieving, or in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.
- For Sudanese people in the diaspora who are supporting their communities by speaking up and calling on the world to take action.
- For a comprehensive ceasefire, a lasting peace, a return to democratic transition, and justice for violations committed both before and during the conflict.
- That the Lord will use our campaign to shine a light on the crisis in Sudan – a clear sign that the world is watching – and that those with influence will take meaningful steps towards peace, justice and accountability.
