I hope this email finds you well. I’m writing to you personally today with a heartfelt invitation. This week is especially urgent. As President Trump sits down with President Xi Jinping in Beijing on May 14–15, I am inviting you personally to join me in a simple 7-day prayer challenge. Just one minute each day. That’s all. I believe those quiet minutes, offered together, can touch heaven and bring real hope to those who suffer.
Each morning I will lift up a specific need from China:
Day 1 - My dear friend of thirty years, Pastor John Cao, his healing after decades of faithful gospel work.
Day 2 - Gao Zhisheng, the brave lawyer who has been missing for nearly nine years.
Day 3 - Our faithful pastors and house-church leaders—Ezra Jin, Elder Li Yingqiang, Pastor Wang Yi—who face daily pressure simply for preaching the gospel.
Day 4 - Wisdom for both President Trump and President Xi.
Day 5 - The salvation of President Xi himself, that God would do what only He can do.
Day 6 - Dr. Wang Bingzhang, an elderly U.S. permanent resident who has been in prison since 2002.
Day 7 - And Zhang Zhan, the courageous Wuhan journalist now facing yet another sentence for speaking truth.
