Kidnapped U.S. Missionary Pilot Freed in Niger

Kevin Rideout, an American missionary pilot based in Niamey, Niger, was recently released after spending nine months in captivity.

Three armed men kidnapped Rideout from outside his home on Oct. 21, 2025. Serving In Mission (SIM) USA, a North Carolina-based ministry, confirmed his release on its website.

Fulani Militias Kill 24 Christians in Governor Mutfwang’s County

At least 24 Christians were killed in an overnight attack on Bin Mper community in Kombun District of Mangu County, Plateau state, the county of Governor Caleb Mutfwang, according to local community leaders, as families gathered Tuesday to bury victims of the assault.

Petition Launched to Bring Home Pastor Imprisoned in China

ChinaAid, an international organization supporting persecuted Christians inside China, has launched a petition and advocacy campaign to bring Pastor John Cao back to his home in the U.S.

Pastor John has been imprisoned in China for seven years for his missionary work on the China-Myanmar border, where he helped establish 16 schools that serve thousands of local children and families.

Pakistani Christians Remain on Edge Even as Blasphemy Cases Decline

In Pakistan, registered blasphemy cases have fallen by roughly two-thirds this year, down to just 13 so far in 2026, according to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan.

Blasphemy-related riots and attacks, which averaged more than seven per year between 2021 and 2024, dropped to just one during the past 12 months, according to data from the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data project.

Finding Shelter After the Storm

Around 11 a.m. on Feb. 26, a mob of nearly 200 Hindus surrounded Faizal’s house in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh.

They threatened him, demanding that he renounce Jesus and reconvert to Hinduism. When Faizal refused to abandon his faith, the mob beat him and his family mercilessly and tore down their home.
