Psalm 63:1

O GOD, you are my GOD; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

Psalm 63:3-4
Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands.

It’s clear from these Bible verses that there’s something about GOD worth pursuing. Even though we know Him, there’s still so much left to know. The knowledge of GOD is like a never-ending well. We can dig and dig, and never fully reach the bottom. To pursue the LORD is to wake up every day eager to dig. It is to be filled to the brim with HIS love and presence and still yearn for more. Finally, it is to commit one’s entire life to knowing Him.
To pray is to seek Him above all our human needs. Having more and more of Him is the only way to fulfill every longing of the human heart. HE knows us and HE knows everything we need.
Pursuing GOD in prayer unlocks and releases His blessings upon us. The LORD will never withhold His faithfulness, goodness and kindness to whoever seeks Him first.

Prayer:
Dear FATHER, thank You that You pursue us daily with Your love, mercy and compassion. Help us to seek You first early each day. Give us a hunger and thirst for more of You so that You can use us to bring honor, praises and glory to Your great Name, In JESUS’ Name. Amen!
