HEBREWS 13:20-21
20-Now may the GOD of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord JESUS, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21-equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through JESUS CHRIST, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
GOD’s Glory is the end Goal!
Note how in this passage everything begins with GOD, proceeds with GOD and ends with GOD. GOD is the one who does the equipping. GOD’s will is the task for which we are equipped. And all the glory for the equipping and the working goes to the Lord JESUS CHRIST, GOD’s only begotten Son. JESUS’ glory is the goal of all things throughout all history in all the world. And it’s the goal of every follower of JESUS. So, though all else may slip away, hold tight to the GOD of all creation of peace, the Great Shepherd and live for the glory of JESUS CHRIST.
Prayer:
ABBA GOD, we thank You for our lives, that we were created in Your image. We want Your will for our lives and to be holy and bring You our everyday activities to glorify You. Let everything we do be for Your glory. We pray in the Majestic Name of JESUS. Amen.
