2 Corinthians 13:5
“Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that JESUS CHRIST is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!”
Self-examination is thought that you give to your own character and actions, for example, in order to judge whether you have been behaving in a way that is acceptable to your own set of values. Check your own self.
DON'T LET TODAY SLIP AWAY
Is today the day we need more than the search for "good feelings"? Do we need more than yesterday and do we need to be overwhelmed with SOMEONE that is GOOD ALL THE TIME?
Do we need the ULTIMATE satisfaction? Something that brings our Soul, Spirit and Mind in Peaceful harmony?
All we have to do is ASK. "COME TO ME, HOLY SPIRIT". The HOLY SPIRIT is the person that binds the ultimate relationships in love.
LOVE, is wanting all the good for someone and doing something to make it happen. Does this bring us great JOY? JOY is root and fruit of our fulfillment in love. Then this JOY brings us PEACE, the harmony of our entire created being. The harmony that brings great JOY, for the GOOD OF OTHERS.
Putting GOD first gives us the ability to accept delays when things don't go our way. PATIENCE only comes when are humbly Loving and Honoring GOD.
LOVE lets KINDNESS flow from the fulness of our heart. Small acts of KINDNESS; opening a door, listening to an older person tell a story over and over, carry out the trash or read to them when they are lonely. Small acts of goodness and KINDNESS become Spiritual and tangible expressions of Love for GOD.
Such expressions of Love, establish our GENEROSITY. We give, we serve without expecting anything in return. We give even more because we are learning it is a greater Blessing to give than to receive. Give Honor to whom Honor is due.
Allow the fruit of the HOLY SPIRIT to combine to give us SELF CONTOL. This SELF CONTROL lets others know we value GOD'S will and others greater than ourselves.
DON'T LET TODAY BE A DAY OF EMPTINESS.
ASK FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT TO COME. HE IS WAITING TO HELP US. YIELD TO HIM.
