1 Peter 5:7 (NLT):  “Give all your worries and cares to GOD, for He cares about you.”

This verse is a continuation of the thought from verse 6, which instructs people to “humble themselves before GOD.” It is a command to stop seeking personal glory and instead accept the work of serving GOD and others. It is a message of hope for people who are struggling with harsh authority, challenging life situations, or who are serving others without recognition.

In 1 Peter 5:6-7, the apostle Peter addresses the problem of anxiety and provides us with hope-giving, life-changing help to handle it. Again, let’s be encouraged as St. Peter writes, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under GOD’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. CAST ALL your anxiety on Him because HE CARES for you.”

Prayer:
FATHER GOD, I bring before You my worries and fears, those seen and unseen, known and unknown. In Your infinite compassion and care, I entrust all of my cares to Your mighty hands. LORD, help me to truly let go of these burdens, embracing the peace that comes from Your Word’s assurance and love. Thank You that You care for me like no one else does. You alone are exceptional in all your dealings with me. Because of Who You are, I offer You my praise and worship, in JESUS’ Holy Name.
Amen. 🙏
