Matthew 6:4
“What you give in secret, GOD will reward you in the open.”
Matthew 6:6 (NIV)
“Then your FATHER , who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
The concept is that GOD, who sees what is done in secret, will reward those who act with sincerity and humility, rather than seeking recognition from others. This includes acts of charity, prayer, and fasting.
These couple is statements by JESUS encourages people to perform acts of charity, prayer, and other righteous deeds with a hidden motive, not for public recognition, but for the sake of honoring and pleasing GOD. JESUS’ teaching emphasizes the importance of doing good deeds secretly, not for the praise of others, but for the reward from GOD. It also applies to prayer, suggesting that people should go to a private place to pray to GOD without seeking the attention of others.
The promise is that GOD, who sees everything, will reward those who perform these deeds in secret, even though other humans may not be aware of them. The underlying principle is that genuine faith and true righteous actions are motivated by a pure love for GOD, not a desire for human approval. Those who follow JESUS are motivated to give, fast and pray by a reward that's better than the glory of men. Our reward comes from our “FATHER who sees in secret.
Prayer:
ABBA FATHER, I acknowledge that You see all my actions, even those done in secret.
