Psalm 34:15
“The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous and his ears toward their cry.”
Righteousness, in its' essence, is about being right with GOD. It's a gift received through faith in JESUS CHRIST, not something earned through our own efforts. When we accept JESUS as our Savior, He clothes us in His own righteousness, making us right with GOD and granting us peace, joy, and assurance.
GOD’s righteousness is perfect and unchanging. It's the standard by which He judges all things.
As humans, we fall short of GOD’s perfect standard. Our own attempts at righteousness are flawed and insufficient.
But JESUS, through His sacrifice, paid the penalty for our sins and provided us with His righteousness. This is a gift we receive by faith. When we understand and accept this gift, we can walk in confidence, knowing we are right with GOD, and experience His peace and joy.
Prayer:
Thank You, FATHER GOD, for the gift of righteousness through faith in CHRIST JESUS. Help me to rest in Your grace and stop striving for my own righteousness. May others see Your righteousness in me, for Your praise, honor, and glory, in JESUS’ Holy Name. Amen.
