2 Corinthians 4:18
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
2 Corinthians 4:18, urges us to shift our focus from the seen to the unseen. The seen, with its fleeting joys and painful trials, is temporary. It's like a passing shadow. But the unseen, the eternal realm of GOD’s presence, love, and glory, is where our true hope lies. This doesn't mean ignoring the realities of life, but rather, viewing them through the lens of eternity. -When we are bogged down by the visible, the difficulties of our daily lives, it's easy to become discouraged. Our problems can loom large, and the hope of a better future can fade. However, by intentionally focusing on the unseen, we gain a new perspective. We remember that our present suffering is temporary, and that there is an eternal reward awaiting us. This perspective allows us to persevere, to find strength in our weakness, and to trust in our Almighty GOD’s faithfulness, even when we can't see the way forward.
Prayer:
As this day unfolds, thank You LORD GOD, for the seen and unseen blessings. For strength, peace, open doors, and Your abiding presence, I give You praise. Help me end this day with a heart full of gratitude and eyes that see Your goodness in everything. In JESUS' Great Name, Amen.
