PSALM 63:1 (NKJV)
“O GOD, You are my GOD; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land where there is no water,"

This verse describes David's deep spiritual longing and dependence on GOD, especially during his time of tribulation in the wilderness of Judah. -It signifies making a priority of seeking GOD first at the beginning of the day, demonstrating a deep and active spiritual dependence and desire for GOD’s presence and communion. -The comparison to thirst and a dry, waterless land powerfully illustrates a deep, intrinsic need for GOD that is more profound than physical desires, highlighting the soul's dependence on divine sustenance.  Do you seek GOD first for wisdom, guidance & direction?

In JOHN 10:10, JESUS says, “I came that you may have life and have it more abundantly.”  JESUS CHRIST contrasts His purpose with that of a "thief" who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. The "life" JESUS offers is not just mere existence but a spiritual life filled with purpose, joy, peace, and a deep relationship with GOD, extending beyond mere earthly circumstances to include eternal life and fulfillment. The word "abundantly" means to have this life in fullness, far exceeding ordinary or expected circumstances.—Do we seek GOD first early in the morning? His gift of life in CHRIST, should be more than enough motivation for us to seek Him early in the morning.

PRAYER:
O GOD my FATHER, my Savior, my all in all, my JESUS, and my LORD. Thank You that You are the living water of life that satisfies the longing of my heart in a dry and thirsty land. No matter where I am or in what circumstances I find myself, You are the Rock upon which I stand and the heavenly lover of my soul. I pray that my love and passion for You would multiply, morning by morning. You alone can satisfy my inner longing, and You alone understand the deepest cry of my heart. In JESUS’ holy Name I pray, AMEN.
