2 Corinthians 1:3-4
“Praise be to the GOD and FATHER of our Lord JESUS CHRIST, the FATHER of compassion and the GOD of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from GOD.”

GOD’s love and compassion are revealed when we experience His comfort in our own difficult times. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 reminds us that as the FATHER of Mercies and the GOD of all Comfort, GOD provides solace and strength in our afflictions. However, this comfort is not just for us; it has a purpose. GOD intends for us to become conduits of His comfort, able to offer the very same mercy and encouragement to others who are suffering, with the wisdom and compassion gained through our own difficult experiences.

Prayer
Heavenly FATHER, we praise You for being the source of all comfort and compassion. Thank You for comforting us in all our trials and all our afflictions, and for giving us strength to persevere. Help us to be open to Your comfort, and as we receive it, equip us to extend that same grace and empathy to others who are suffering. May our difficult experiences become a means through which others can also find comfort in You. In JESUS' Gracious Name, Amen.
