REVELATION 22:12-13
“Behold, I AM coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. 13- I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."
This is a reminder that JESUS CHRIST is returning "quickly" and will reward every person based on their actions. As the followers of King JESUS, we must focus on staying ready for His return, examining if our works are done for His honor, praise, and glory, and living with a sense of joyful urgency. CHRIST’s promise to return quickly is not just a statement of future event, but a call for us to be prepared in the present. It should impact how we live our daily lives. This Bible verse emphasizes that rewards will be given "according to what he has done.” This is not about earning salvation, which is a free gift, but about the quality of our works as believers, whether they are done in faith and for His glory. As the loved and redeemed children of GOD, our lives should reflect a readiness to meet our Savior and Lord. Are our lamps trimmed and our lives shining with truth? Are we earnestly looking for JESUS’ return, or have we become comfortable with the gifts He has given us, forgetting that the great Giver is about to return? THE KING IS COMING!
Prayer:
Dear Lord JESUS, thank You for Your promise to come back soon. Help me to live my life in a way that is pleasing to You and that honors Your holy Name. Strengthen my faith and give me the endurance to stay prepared for Your return. May my actions and my heart be focused on You. I pray for Your HOLY SPIRIT to fill me and guide me as I look forward to the day of Your return to bring my reward with You. In Your majestic, righteous and victorious Name I pray, Amen.
