MATTHEW 24:36
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”

Emphasizes that the time of Jesus's return is unknown to all except GOD, which calls for a life of constant readiness rather than a focus on specific dates. Those who are redeemed and believe in the Lord JESUS CHRIST should focus on living a vigilant and faithful life, and ask for GOD’s help in staying awake and active in service until that day comes. The key to this verse is not to speculate about the future, but to live faithfully in the present. JESUS tells us that the timing is a mystery, so our energy should not be spent trying to predict it. Instead, we are called to "keep watch" by being diligent in our daily lives, working, serving, and ministering to others. Just as those in Noah's day were oblivious to the coming flood while they were distracted by life, we can be caught off guard if we are not spiritually alert and busy about the LORD’s work. This means being sober-minded and holding onto hope, because we do not know the day or hour of His return.

Prayer
Glorious Heavenly FATHER, we thank You for Your supreme wisdom and for keeping the day of JESUS’ return a mystery. Help us to not be fearful and distracted by the things of this world, but to live each day as if You could return at any moment. Grant us the grace to be watchful and vigilant, to be faithful servants, and to be busy with Your work until that glorious day when You return. Help us to be ready, not through fear, but through a life of active devotion, love and service. In JESUS' marvelous Name, Amen.
