Matthew 6:34 (NIV)
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Matthew 6:34 encourages us to focus on today's challenges and trust GOD with tomorrow, as each day brings its own needs and blessings. Worrying about the future is like trying to carry a second day's burden today, which is unnecessary and paralyzing. Instead, we should trust GOD’s provisions, focusing on His presence and seeking to live out today's responsibilities….
Focus on the present:
Matthew 6:34 reminds us that today has its own challenges and blessings, and worrying about tomorrow robs us of the peace we need for today….
Trust GOD’s provision:
By focusing on the present, we can trust that GOD will provide for our needs in every season, just as He cares for the birds and the lilies….and He cares more for us!
Release anxiety:
Worrying about what "might" happen is ineffective. Instead, we can surrender our burdens and anxieties to GOD and allow His peace to guard our hearts.
PRAYER:
Gracious Heavenly FATHER, help me to focus on today and see Your activity in my life. I give You tomorrow, because I know You are already there. Help me not to worry about what may or may not happen, but to trust You for today's strength and to lean on Your unchanging faithfulness. In JESUS' Powerful Name, Amen.
