Always reflect on the unchanging goodness of GOD, even in difficult times. Remember past blessings and ask for a deeper revelation of His character, which strengthens faith and brings courage. The Bible repeatedly states that GOD is good, not just at times when we can feel it, but always. His character doesn't change with our circumstances, which means we can find security and stability in His goodness whether we are surrounded by joy or struggling with grief or pain.
He established feasts and festivals in the Old Testament, and in the New Testament, JESUS instituted the LORD’s Supper, to help us remember His gracious acts of goodness throughout history. Recalling these instances of His redeeming grace generates hope for the future and deepens our love for Him. It's easy to focus on major hardships, but GOD’s goodness is also present in the big and small, everyday things: Deliverance, Healing, Miracles, prayer, love of family, friends, the air we breathe, home or a simple meal. Intentionally looking for these daily gifts can change our perspective and help us trust that we have a future with our good Heavenly FATHER.
Prayer
Glorious Heavenly FATHER, You are the source of all goodness, and Your steadfast love endures forever. Thank You for Your constant presence, for the protection You provide, and for Your unfailing love, which is a constant in a world that is often in turmoil. Thank You for Your mercy and grace, for Your faithfulness to all generations. May Your HOLY SPIRIT help me to remember all the ways You have been good to me and to rest in the knowledge that You are good even when I can't see it. Remind me that Your eyes are always upon me. May my life reflect Your goodness, dear LORD. Help me to live with love and kindness toward others, and strengthen my heart to have courage in times of uncertainty. Help me to believe Your Word and to have a deeper, more intimate revelation of Your goodness to me, today and always. In JESUS’ Holy Name, Amen.
