ISAIAH 53:5
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.”

This verse highlights JESUS’ sacrifice for our sins to bring us peace and healing. A short devotional can focus on how CHRIST’s suffering is the source of our peace and wholeness.

We’re encouraged to thank GOD for JESUS’ sacrifice and ask for His healing power in specific areas of life. This verse is a powerful reminder that JESUS’ suffering was not random, but a purposeful act of redemption for us. He bore our transgressions and iniquities, allowing us to find peace with GOD.

The "chastisement of our peace" means that the punishment that would have brought us destruction instead brought us peace and wholeness through His sacrifice and the shedding of JESUS’ Blood on the cross!  Through His wounds, we are not just spiritually healed from sin, but also invited into a state of well-being in all areas of life, both physically and spiritually.

Prayer:
Almighty Heavenly FATHER, we thank You that JESUS was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. Thank You for the peace that was purchased through His suffering, and that by His stripes we are healed. LORD GOD, we ask for Your healing touch on our minds, bodies, and spirits today. We lift up the areas where we feel pain, brokenness, or sin’s heavy weight, and we pray for Your restoration, peace, and wholeness that was poured out In the glorious mighty Name of JESUS, Amen.
