Psalm 138:8 (NKJV)
“The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.”

“The LORD will perfect that which concerns me," means GOD has a specific plan for your life and will work to complete it, fulfilling His purpose through His everlasting love and faithfulness, assuring believers He won't abandon the good work He started in them, even through difficulties. It's a promise of divine completion, where GOD acts as an artist perfecting His creation, bringing order and fulfillment to the messy parts of life. GOD has an intentional plan for each individual's life, and this verse affirms He will bring it to fruition. The word "perfect" implies bringing something to completion or making it whole, like an artist refining a masterpiece, suggesting GOD will work through imperfections to achieve His goal.

The promise is rooted in GOD’s enduring love ("lovingkindness" or hesed in Hebrew) and commitment, as highlighted in the surrounding verses. It encourages believers to release worry and trust GOD to handle life's complexities, rather than trying to manage everything alone. The phrase "forsake not the works of Thine own hands" emphasizes GOD’s commitment to see His work in a person through to the end. In essence, it's a message of hope and assurance that GOD is actively involved in your life, working to bring His good purposes to completion because of His unwavering love.

Prayer:
Glorious Heavenly FATHER, thank You for Psalm 138:8. I declare that You will perfect all that concerns me—my heart, my future, my healing. Even when I can't see the end, I trust You are working. Your mercy holds me together, and I am the work of Your hands, so please, LORD, do not forsake me. Complete Your good work in me, I pray, in JESUS’ Holy Name, Amen.
