1 JOHN 2:28 (ESV) “And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears we may have confidence and not shrink from Him in shame at His coming.”
"Abiding" in CHRIST JESUS means staying connected, remaining in His Word, and living in constant, obedient fellowship with Him rather than the world. This isn't about working for salvation, but living in a way that reflects our relationship with a righteous Savior. When we actively abide in Him, we do not need to fear the future or feel shame when He returns. Instead, we can look forward to His second coming with joy, confidence, and peaceful assurance.
Prayer
Loving Heavenly FATHER, thank You for the privilege of being Your child. I ask for the grace to abide in Your Son, JESUS, daily—to keep my heart, mind, and actions rooted in Him. Help me to live in such a way that I am ready for His return, filled with confidence and joy rather than shame. I want to remain in You. In JESUS' Majestic Name, Amen.
