2 PETER 3:18 calls believers to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST. To Him be the glory both now and forever!"

This Bible verse encourages continuous spiritual maturity rather than stagnation, deepening our experiential understanding of JESUS and His favor, ultimately reflecting His character and bringing Him glory.

Stagnation is the enemy of the spiritual life. GOD’s Word doesn’t call us to simply exist as Christians, but to actively "grow" in two specific areas: grace and knowledge. Growing in grace means living deeper in the daily awareness of GOD’s unmerited favor, while growing in knowledge is not just knowing about JESUS, but personally knowing Him more intimately. Like a tree pushing its roots deeper to withstand storms, we must continually root ourselves in His Word, allowing His character to transform our own. Grace and knowledge of CHRIST JESUS makes us resilient and strong in facing the storms of life, bringing Him glory.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the grace You have so freely given me. I ask that You stir in me a hunger for righteousness and help me to grow deeper in the knowledge of my Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST. Remove any spiritual laziness from my life. Transform my character to reflect Your Son, and may my life bring You glory both now and forever. In JESUS’ Name, Amen.
