Christians in Vietnam face an ultimatum with bold faith
Gia and her husband, Dai, have been Christians for 15 years. They live in Vietnam, where the Communist government actively restricts Christian activity.

Gia and Dai’s daughter, Ruth, has a condition that affects her neurological and physical development. When they were summoned to a government office to receive funds offered to support children with Ruth’s condition, they waited all day before receiving an ultimatum: Change Ruth’s “Christian” name and renounce their faith, or forfeit the funding. They chose to reject the government’s money.

Today, Christians in Communist countries like Vietnam, Cuba, China and Laos are harassed and oppressed for their faith and witness. They are often denied medical treatment and ID cards, and pastors in China and Cuba are arrested on false charges to hinder their ministry.

Despite Communist pressure and harassment, more are coming to faith in Christ as Christians like Gia and Dai faithfully tell others about Christ.

You can partner in the gospel with our Christian brothers and sisters, like Gia and Dai, who are standing firm in their faith. Your support and prayers help Christians who are persecuted under Communist oppression, letting them know they are loved and cared for by the global body of Christ.
