Thank you for being a partner in our #SaveUs Grassroots Movement to advocate for the world's persecuted Christians.

I wanted to give you an update on our joint effort led by Save the Persecuted Christians to ascertain the suitability of President Biden's pick to be the next U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom.

On 1 November, 124 of us sent that nominee, Rashad Hussain, 19 questions. They were intended to elicit, among other things, insights into how -- if confirmed -- he would reconcile the differences between a) America's cornerstone value of religious freedom for all and b) the supremacist Islamic doctrine of Sharia, which requires the submission of every other faith to Islam.

Mr. Hussain has yet to acknowledge these questions, let alone respond to them.

Consequently, in the run-up to Thanksgiving, we issued an appeal to the International Religious Freedom Roundtable -- an informal group of advocates for this liberty that we all hold dear. If you check out our website (www.SaveThePersecutedChristians.org), you'll see on the homepage a short video version of that appeal, together with the questions we put to the nominee.

It would be very helpful if we could get as many people as possible aware of the need to clarify Rashad Hussain's thinking and attitudes. We also want our countrymen and women to help in securing those clarifications.

If you are interested in doing so, please lend your name to the open letter to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee urging that it require such answers before taking up this nomination. And then, share this petition with your circles of influence, encourage them to do the same, and consider calling or writing your Senators.

For additional background, in a press release issued yesterday, the Muslim Reform Movement announced its opposition to the nomination by President Biden of Rashad Hussain to be the next U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, citing concerns about his record of aligning with Sharia-supremacists and failing to stand with Muslims like them in favoring human rights for people of all faiths. (See STPC's press release on this here.)

The deadline to sign is close of business ET, Friday, Dec. 3.

Heartfelt thanks for all you do!
