A Safe Arrival In America For A Persecuted Family
After landing in South America, Chinese Christian Dong Zhao and family traveled nearly 19,000 miles all the way to the U.S.-Mexico border with his family.  As all of their possessions were stolen in Mexico, Dong, his wife, and three kids arrived at the border with just the clothes they had on!  ChinaAid team members picked up the family at the border and made sure they safely arrived at a supporting church.

Read more about their incredible story on ChinaAid's website. Dong also spoke with Radio Taiwan International about the horrific persecution he endured as a Christian in China. Read the English translation by clicking here

Please keep this faithful family in your prayers as they rest and recover from their trip and start a new life in America!

Mayflower Update: A Note On Two Years Of Exile
In another note from the Mayflower Church, congregant Sheng Ti He writes about some of the culture shock and adjustments he had to go through after first arriving in Jeju Island, South Korea.

Sheng notes some aspects of the South Korean lifestyle that encourage him, like how "this society does not discriminate, respects everyone, and respects even the lowest level of labor." He writes how "the most thankful thing is that God led our church to leave China together and come to Korea where we are free in our faith."

CCP Officials Launch New Crackdown On Catholics
This week, ChinaAid's reporting team published an overview of how Communist officials continue to clamp down against Catholics. In early April, officials forced Bishop Shao Zhumin on a plane and took his cell phone. Some suspected the government did not want Bishop Shao, who has been arrested before, to participate in Holy Week activities.

Before the 2022 Chinese New Year, police detained at least ten clergy members from Xuanhua Diocese, including bishop Augustine Cu Tai and vicar Zhang Jianlin.
