In just a few hours at 2PM Eastern Time on January 17th, 2024, ChinaAid President Bob Fu will testify before the U.S. House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence, entitled "Safeguarding Dissident Voices: Addressing Transnational Repression Threats to Homeland Security.”

The hearing is focused on examining the "Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) role in combating transnational repression in the United States. Transnational repression, as defined by the FBI, is when foreign governments stalk, intimidate, or assault people in the United States."

Chairman Rep. August Pfluger, who represents parts of West Texas in Congress, explains "From the Chinese Communist Party’s clandestine police station in New York City...this hearing is a crucial opportunity to examine how DHS can effectively combat this escalating threat to our nation’s democratic norms and sovereignty.”
