April 7th, 2023.
Freedom.
This one word meant everything to the Mayflower a year ago.
One year ago today, on Good Friday 2023, Mayflower Church members safely landed at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport in Texas. Their long journey of exile, from China to South Korea, then to Thailand and the USA, was finally over.
After countless prayers, these church members could finally worship the Lord and raise their families in a country where they would not be persecuted for their faith.
And 'freedom' is still such a powerful word for this congregation one year after their arrival.
Today on April 7th, 2024, I and so many others celebrated the Mayflower's one-year 'freedom anniversary' at a local church here in Midland Texas. It was such a joyous occasion where we gave thanks to the Lord for the testimony of deliverance the Mayflower Church represents.
I can't wait to share some photos and videos from the event with you!
Until then, I'm just so grateful and humbled to count you as a faithful partner for freedom not only for the Mayflower Church, but for so many across China who face persecution for our faith.
Please rejoice with me on this anniversary day of liberty for the Mayflower, and let's continue to walk and serve the persecuted faithful, together.
Serving the persecuted with you,
Bob Fu, ChinaAid President
