On Wednesday 17th April we received the news that Reverend Samson, who was arrested and imprisoned by the military junta in 2022, had been released to mark Myanmar’s new year celebrations. We praised God for this victory!
However, within hours of his release, we found out that Reverend Samson was taken away by the authorities once again.
Sources say that he is being detained under ‘house arrest’ at the Myitkyina prison guest house. The family have no idea what will happen next, nor do they know why he was detained again.
So far, the authorities have not given any justification for his arrest.
Join us in lifting them all up in prayer to God in the following ways:
- Pray Isaiah 41:10 over Reverend Samson and his family, asking God to keep them safe.
- That the Holy Spirit would fill them with a deep peace (John 14: 26-27), knowing that God is with them.
- Persistently pray that the authorities will release Reverend Samson with no charges.
- May they be reminded of Isaiah 54:17, that the Lord vindicates those who serve him, refuting the words of the accuser.
