Elder insists faith is not a crime
Elder Hao Ming, who has been out of jail on bail for about 1.5 months, posted a statement online informing that he was sentenced on April 9th to a three year jail sentence, with a 5-year suspended sentence for "fraud." Elder Hao plans to "completely rely on God's righteousness" instead of filing an appeal. Here's a photo of Elder Hao and his wife Yang Yufeng.

Officials on high alert during trial
We've learned that evangelist Chen Wensheng was tried on April 18th, and that Chen's family and friends were turned away from the court by a large group of specialized police officers and other officials. Authorities even blocked off the entire street around the courthouse and said it was for a "drill."

Pray for Chen, his family, friends, and their persecutors. 

Chang Hao's family seeks justice
On April 16th, the family of jailed preacher Chang Hao sent an open letter to officials calling for justice, and listed three illegal acts carried out by judicial authorities that violated laws, including detaining Preacher Chang beyond the legal time limit. Here's more on Preacher Chang's case.
