Early Rain Covenant Church remains one of the most persecuted Chinese house churches ever since a massive December 2018 crackdown when more than 100 Christians were taken by police.

As part of their relentless harassment against this congregation, officials keep harshly persecuting Chengdu Early Rain Covenant Church Deacon Jia Xuewei.

We've just heard Deacon Jia was evicted after police harassed his landlord. And Deacon Jia had only lived in the rented house for 10 days!

Deacon Jia's heart for serving the church has led to officials detaining and beating him many times.

Officials see this faithful Christian as a 'thorn in their side!'

Even though Deacon Jia is homeless once again, a public prayer letter from his church family recounts how 'God has given him a joyful heart and the love and care of the brothers and sisters in the church, so that he can still be joyful in tribulations and see all this as suffering humiliation for Christ.'

Please pray for Deacon Jia as he endures more unjust persecution.

And also intercede for his persecutors and the local government officials who regard his passion for the Gospel as a 'thorn.'

Your faithful and immediate prayers and support for the persecuted across China are such a blessing and remind these men and women that they do not walk alone.

And your gifts to ChinaAid help us directly support Christians like Deacon Jia as he tries to find a new place to live, and his church congregation as they endure continuous harassment.

P.S: Can you believe that late last year Deacon Jia was beaten by a security agent in a restroom - and other police had to intervene to stop the assualt? Read the full story on our website.
