Pakistan (International Christian Concern) — Police in Pakistan have arrested an 18-year-old Christian named Tabi after villagers falsely accused him of blaspheming Islam.

Locals in Kalaywala Kasur allegedly saw Tabi tearing papers that had Quranic verses written on them as he walked through town on Monday. Christians in the community deny the accusations and now fear they are caught up in the latest weaponizing of Pakistan’s blasphemy laws. Previous allegations made against believers have led to extensive destruction and even death.

Since Tabi’s arrest, police have had a heavy presence in the area to prevent rioting and violence.

HOW TO PRAY: Pray for justice in Tabi's blasphemy case and the protection of the Christian community in his village and throughout the country.
