PSALM 142:5
I cry to you, LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
As sons and daughters of GOD, we are greatly blessed that the LORD presents Himself as our refuge, our hiding place, where can find safety, peace and calm in the midst of a world that’s increasingly becoming a threat to our Christian faith. Through CHRIST JESUS, our lives are enriched with spiritual blessings that enable us to overcome the fiery darts of the enemy. We’ve been given the HOLY SPIRIT, who is our portion from GOD, that unleashes our defense and offense to withstand the enemy.
GOD Himself is our portion in the land of the living! In CHRIST we have life, real life that’s unequaled by any in this world.
Prayer:
FATHER GOD, we seek You wisdom and guidance and we pray that You shed Your light upon us so that we live not only on earth but in you, the eternal and living One. May our lives be drawn into eternity, to the praise of Your great Name. May we take Your Word to heart so that we can become true men and women, able to bear everything in Your glorious Name, and to remain in the love You want to give us. Rouse us to become true men and women at the side of JESUS CHRIST our Savior, who has been patient in all things with all people. Be with us at all times, O LORD our GOD. You are our help and our refuge, our portion in the land of the living. In JESUS’ Holy Name. Amen.
