2 CORINTHIANS 4:16-17
16-“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17-For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”
Losing heart is a common human experience. We are all born into a fallen world where every which way we turn we witness heart-breaking events that damage, destroy and devastate lives. How do people survive in a corrupt, sin-stained world? There’s GOD, and there’s GRACE made available to all who seek and desire Him. In CHRIST we’re given hope and opportunities to experience good and lasting change that begins from within our hearts.
GOD’s grace has the power to transform us, make us and mold us to conform to CHRIST who alone has conquered sin, death and the devil!! YES, by faith in Him we too are destined to overcome and enjoy victory this side of eternity! We overcome by the blood of JESUS and the word of our testimony…for our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all! YES, GRACE STILL WORKS!
Prayer:
Dear LORD, thank You for the sufficiency of Your grace. You are faithful and good to us You see to it that You graciously renew us day by day. Even when our days are difficult You grace is always poured out upon us.
You have placed eternity in our hearts to remind us that our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. May our hearts be flooded with Your light so that we can understand the confident hope You’ve given to us whom You call Your own, in CHRIST JESUS’ Gracious Name. Amen.
