Psalm 42:8
“The LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me— A prayer to the GOD of my life.”
The LORD is the Commander-in-Chief over all of creation!
His love is incomparable and beyond measure! We can feel GOD’s love every day. It is due to His love and mercy that we survive until today. GOD is the source of life for all things. Our daily life is inseparable from GOD’s supply of life and love. Since GOD created man in the beginning, and breathed His own breath into man, He has constantly supplied man with all things necessary for survival. He supplies us the needs of the human body we enjoy everyday such as the sunshine, and rain and dew, the air, water, and food. What’s more, He waters and feeds us with His Words and truth. These allow us to feel and experience that GOD is the wellspring of the living water of life. HIS great love for us was expressed when He gave His Son, JESUS, to die on the cross to redeem us from sin and death! CHRIST paid with His own blood to give us eternal life and establish an eternal bond or relationship with GOD! He is our Savior and Lord worthy of all creatures’ worship and praise!
Have you acknowledged Him?
Have you welcomed Him into your life? Have you given over your day, your life to Him? The Psalmist declared that “The LORD will command His loving-kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me—A Prayer to the GOD of my life.” Have you prayed today?
Prayer:
FATHER GOD, thank You for loving me even when I’m at my worst, Your love never changes!
How blessed that I have been given eternal life as a free gift of grace and that You have crowned me with Your steadfast love and mercy, satisfying me with all good things and renewing my strength like that of an eagle. May Your SPIRIT help me daily to recognize, appreciate and appropriate Your love in every detail of my life, even as I sing of Your goodness in the night! I praise You In JESUS’ wondrous Name!
