Romans 5:5
“And hope does not put us to shame, because GOD’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the HOLY SPIRIT, who has been given to us.”
Micah 7:7
“But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for GOD my Savior; my GOD will hear me.”
The Christmas and New Year’s message is that there is hope for a ruined humanity--hope of pardon, hope of peace with GOD and man, hope of glory--because at the FATHER’s will JESUS became poor, and was born in a stable so that those who believe in Him might become rich…rich in every way through the priceless and eternal things that come from an eternal GOD revealed to mankind in and through His Son, JESUS CHRIST.
“The hope that GOD has provided for us is not merely a wish. Neither is it dependent on other people, possessions, or circumstances for its validity. Instead, biblical hope is an application of our faith that supplies a confident expectation in GOD’s fulfillment of His promises. Coupled with faith and love, hope is part of the abiding characteristics in a believer's life.” - John C. Broger
“Many things are possible for the person who has hope. Even more is possible for the person who has faith. And still more is possible for the person who knows how to love. But everything is possible for the person who practices all three virtues.” - Brother Lawrence
Hope in CHRIST carried us through years of challenges and trials, and the coming of a new year is no different. Let us take on the new year ahead with a hope that’s anchored and fixed in JESUS CHRIST, who is the hope of glory!
Prayer:
As the dawn breaks on a new year, we give thanks to You LORD our GOD, for all we hold dear: our health, our family and our friends. We cast off and release our grudges, our anger, bitterness, and our pains, for these are nothing but chains that keep us from enjoying You and Your blessings. May the HOLY SPIRIT help us live each day in ways that honor You, please and glorify You. In the great and mighty Name of JESUS. Amen!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
