Hebrews 13:5b-6 “…because GOD has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The LORD is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
Our response to the Word of GOD matters and is of vital importance whenever His Word comes to us; during our Bible study time, and when we hear it preached. However, many still need to learn how to respond to the Word. Receiving the Word is not enough; what is important is what you do with it. James 1:22 says, “But be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
Our confession of the Word is your response to the Word. That is what will change our life and circumstances. -1 John 4:4 says, “You are of GOD, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Our response is to say, “Yes, I’m born of GOD, and I have overcome Satan, self, the world and its systems, because greater is He that’s in me, than he that’s in the world.” -Making such confessions of the Word will elevate us from victory to victory in CHRIST JESUS our Lord and Savior! Hallelujah!
Prayer:
Faithful FATHER, we thank and praise You for the gift of Your holy Word. May it be a lamp unto our feet, a light unto our paths; and may Your Word be an inspiration and strength to our lives. Take us and use us to love and serve all people in the power of the HOLY SPIRIT and in the life-giving Name of your Son JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
