Ephesians 3:17B-19
"17b-And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18-may have power, together with all the LORD's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of CHRIST, 19-and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of GOD."
Paul expressed a goal in this passage that should be near the top of our bucket list as believers; "to be filled to the measure of all the fullness of GOD." This was Paul's prayer for believers, that we would be filled completely with all GOD has to offer us. The Way of Love into the fullness GOD! -But that seems not to be something that just happens. GOD's love has to happen first! -What Paul describes here is a three-step process. First, we need to be rooted and established in love. Our roots need to grow deep in CHRIST, so much so that it becomes the foundation of our lives. -Then we can begin to grasp the extent of JESUS' love for us. A love that reaches into every area of our lives. And, finally, after grasping the extent of his love that we would experience it. This is a love that is beyond man's ability to grasp and understand; it has to be possessed and lived! It has to be felt and experienced!!
Prayer:
Glorious GOD, we pray that by Your SPIRIT and power, we may know Your love that surpasses knowledge, that we may be filled to the measure of all Your fullness in the amazing love and incomparable Name of JESUS, Amen!
