Psalm 55:16-17
16-“As for me, I will call upon GOD, And the LORD shall save me. 17-Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.”

The context of Psalm 55 –
King David relates his troubles, 1-14, and then he spells out the doom of the wicked, v.15. After feeling downcast and defeated, David remembered the privilege of prayer. (v.26-17)

Too many believers forget the tremendous, glorious privilege that belongs to us in CHRIST, as true believers and precious sons and daughters of GOD. We have a privilege that is unequaled by any other in the world. Prayer is a privilege!

Why is prayer a privilege?
Psalm 55:17-PRAYER ALLOWS US ACCESS TO GOD’s THRONE
When we pray, we are addressing the Creator, the Almighty GOD. Prayer Brings Us Into His Presence – I am in CHRIST JESUS, and when I pray, the Son intercedes and the FATHER sees me through the filter of His Son and He hears me. —This literally allows me access into the throne room of GOD’s grace in Heaven!  He is always there for us! —Our Access Is By Royal Invitation – (Ancient kings were largely unapproachable). But GOD invites us to come before Him – Psalm 50:15 “…call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”
Prayer is a great privilege!

Prayer:
FATHER GOD, please forgive me for my lack of prayer. In CHRIST, You have blessed me with an open access to Your throne of grace. May the HOLY SPIRIT convict and convince me to seek You daily; morning, noon, and night. In JESUS’ Name, I pray. Amen.

Praying For You,
Pastor Wally & Sister Mattie 🙏
