MATTHEW 6:33 33
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
We put GOD first when we worship Him, praise Him, thank Him, trust Him, and rely on Him rather than ourselves or anyone else. We seek GOD first when we go to Him for comfort, strength, wisdom and reassurance, —when we acknowledging who He is and what He can do. It's a way of seeking GOD’s Kingdom first, starting to live right now like we always will in His renewed world. JESUS says that “all of these things will be GIVEN to you,” -not “you shouldn't want these things.” Our daily blessings from ABBA FATHER are gifts to use to serve the LORD and His people. —Putting GOD first means serving Him with everything we have in whatever situation we're in. It means allowing His love for us to overflow into the lives of the people around us. —It seems that everyone has trouble putting GOD first and keeping His righteousness first in their lives. We live in the flesh which naturally draws us into ourselves to maintain comfort and security when difficult circumstances confront us. The flesh naturally draws us into self-survival and makes it difficult to totally depend on GOD. —When GOD is placed first and foremost in our lives, we will be able to better live our lives for Him. As His sons and daughters in CHRIST, we should want to live our lives honoring GOD since He has extended such compassion, mercy, grace and love to us. IN CHRIST, the HOLY SPIRIT can help us live our lives to GOD by walking in His steps.
Prayer:
Dear ABBA FATHER, I love how Your Word teaches us that although You created us to work hard and accomplish great things, You never intended for us to shoulder the worries of our present and future. Instead, You have designed us to pursue a relationship with You through faith in JESUS CHRIST Your Son, to enjoy Your grace, provisions and protection and for us to teach others how to find You and enjoy the same blessings in Your grace as well. In JESUS’ Name. Amen.
Praying For You,
Pastor Wally & Sister Mattie
