1 CORINTHIANS 15:58
“Always give yourselves fully to the work of the LORD, because you know that your labor in the LORD is not in vain.”

Today’s verse is a reminder that we don’t know the results of our efforts for the LORD, but in faith we can trust that our obedience is never in vain. In other words, there is no real failure, properly understood, when the LORD is honored and obeyed, He is on our side. Our labor for Him will never come up empty, no work for the LORD Is in vain!

“Always give yourselves fully to the work of the LORD.”

What matters is that all that we do for the LORD, small or great, must be done wholeheartedly, 100%!  —The single most powerful evidence in support of this Bible verse is JESUS CHRIST’s Resurrection, and by extension, the certain hope of our own resurrection, and His return for His own followers. How then should we respond? First, JESUS’ victory means we’re to “stand firm. Let nothing move you” (v. 58). Second, we’re to be fully committed to the work of the LORD. There’s no such thing as halfhearted discipleship (Luke 14:25–33; Revelation 3:15–16). Biblically, then, every believer in CHRIST is to stand firm and be fully committed to the work of the LORD.  Keeping GOD’s promises front and center in our lives can help us keep a strong, productive, and fruitful biblical view of success in JESUS’ amazing Name!

Prayer:
Dear ABBA FATHER, I want to commit my life and everything I do to You. Help me to remain steadfast, focused, and hard working. Help my hands and my brain to create work that is excellent and that changes lives. Give me understanding and wisdom that I’m working directly for You. Give me a clear and focused mind. I know work done for You is not time wasted, in JESUS’ great Name. Amen.
