Acts 2:24 ESV -
“But GOD raised Him from the dead, freeing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him.”
Peter says “GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD”
The expression means death tried to bind JESUS, hold him, but it wasn't possible. CHRIST JESUS burst through the bonds, conquering death! This is one significant truth in the story of salvation and a pivotal aspect of the nature of of the LORD JESUS.
JESUS remaining dead was not to be; it could not happen. And so GOD raised Him!
The Resurrection of JESUS is undeniably the greatest miracle ever that He was seen alive by more than 500 of His followers as witnesses of the fact that HE IS RISEN!
The same power that raised JESUS from the dead is the same power that enables us to effectively live His life here on the earth until He calls us home to glory!
